                                                            Kitsap County USBC Bowling Association                                                  MINUTES OF THE Meeting held 18 July 2016 at                                                   Hi-Joy Bowl 1011 Bethel Ave. Port Orchard. WA. 1. The President called the meeting to order at 1821 hours. 2. Roll Call of Officers:  Directors excused was Jeremy Sears and Al Clay.    Directors absent were Bill Bachteler, Chuck Linne, Dale Hrenko,  and Donald Allen.    All other board members were present including Past President Tom Bright.     3.   A motion was made by Leo Funari, seconded by Perry Hedstrom to dispense with the reading of the last meeting             as copies were available at the head table.  Motion passed.     4.   Committee Reports: A.  Audit Committee Chairman Ron Sears hadn’t found a date where all members can be present.       He want to contact our previous outside auditor to sit in with the committee.       This will all be done in the near future and the committee notified. B.  BVL Chairman Norm Cox had a request from Retsil Veteran’s Home for some EZ awnings for outdoor       affairs this summer. Chairman Cox will contact Retsil for more details, size, how many, and when needed. C.  All Star Team committee member Leo Funari reported that Kitsap County is scheduled to host the tournament in 2017.       All Star Lanes was selected as the best house because of the number of lanes available. Leo also reported that the       Womens team finished in first place, the men in fourth place, Boys fourth same as the men and the girls in 7th or last place.       Leo submitted receipts for four ferry trips as he replaced Chairman Bachteler as our contact at the tournament.       Reimbursement approved by the board.  D.  Juniors Committee Chairman Jeremy Ellis reported that the Pepsi finals were held at Triangle Bowl.       None of our kids were big winners but they made a good showing. Jr. Gold is currently being bowled back East       and two of our young USBC bowlers are participating in that tournament. Results later. E.  Inspection Committee Chairman is still trying to assemble  a healthy team. He asked for volunteers to replace older members       that have difficulty crawling the pits. Lane straddling has taken its toll also. Hi-joy is undergoing some remodeling and new furniture       is still stored on some lanes that causes some delay for us. F.  The members of the merge committee are charged with having everything in place to merge with the Women and Youth      by the summer season 2017 and the merge complete bore the start of the Winter season start in August of that year this will put our association      in compliance with the USBC deadline of 2018. A lot of work needs to be done but Chairman Bachteler has the USBC package      of guidelines to help complete a successful merge. Special Note: The secretaries workshops are scheduled for August 1st a Monday at 10 A.M. &  6 P.M. at All Star Lanes, August 2nd Tuesday at 10 A.M. & 6 P.M. at Hi-Joy Bowl. House reps should plan on attending at least one session, both if possible. The secretaries should know who they can turn to for help with rules, filling blank spots, etc. There being no further business, The President schedule the next meeting for Monday 15 August at Hi-Joy Bowl commencing at 6:30 P.M.
